Results - Prologue

In an exciting start to the race, Pointier from France has finally managed to take a stage by force and romp home with a convincing win over such a short distance (approx 12km). For someone who has in previous years trained long distance this sprint was a really great start for him.

The rest of the results were perhaps surprising in places but I don't think anyone's too worried about losing a few minutes at this point. Milos came in 4th losing only 1m 15s to Pointier. Radek, always a firm favourite to win came in 7th. But I don't think any of us should think that this is the way things will go for the rest of the race. If nothing else there are always surprises here in France.

See you tomorrow!
